Emily Rosen (BBS ASW 89242) and Mary Claire DePriest (BOP PSB 94025739) provide therapy services under my supervision (PSY 29379). Both Emily and Mary Claire are highly qualified. Emily is working toward licensure as a mental health provider in clinical social work, and Mary Claire is working toward a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Emily received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and holds a master’s degree in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago.

Emily believes that therapy can help change patterns that no longer serve us by bringing them into conscious awareness. She views her role as helping clients discover more fulfilling ways of being in the world, and relating to other people. Emily’s approach is informed by her background in anthropology, as well as her work in hospice and hospital social work.

Mary Claire DePriest

Mary Claire received her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University, and is accruing hours towards completion of her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Mary Claire believes that every individual is the expert on their own life and lived experiences. She views therapy as a collaboration between the clinician and client, working together to achieve lasting change. Mary Claire’s primary goal in therapy is to help each client develop the tools that they need to cope with and overcome life’s many challenges and to facilitate individual growth, addressing current concerns and preparing for the future.
